This past weekend, Homvi joined Chief Boyles, Lieutenant Kleiner, and the Genesee Fire Department team for a community evacuation drill. It was an honor to be invited, and an important reminder of why we built Homvi in the first place.

Evacuation drills teach a critical skill: how to get your people out safely and quickly. But once everyone is safe, there is a second question that often gets overlooked. What did you leave behind, and can you prove it was there?
Why a home inventory matters here
That is where a home inventory comes in. A clear, up to date record of your belongings is one of the simplest things a homeowner can do to be ready, both for evacuation and for what comes after. It speeds up insurance claims, reduces stress during an already difficult time, and means one less thing to think about when every minute matters.
We were glad to see so much interest from Genesee residents on Saturday. Quite a few people signed up to learn more about Homvi, and that kind of engagement tells us something important: this community takes preparedness seriously, and they are looking for tools that make it achievable, not overwhelming.
That is exactly the philosophy behind Homvi. We are simplifying home inventories so you're prepared when life happens.
Thank you, Genesee Fire Department
A huge thank you to Chief Boyles and Lieutenant Kleiner for the opportunity to be part of Saturday's drill. Partnering with fire departments like Genesee is exactly the kind of community collaboration we hope to build on, and we are excited about future events together.
If your fire department, HOA, or community group is planning a preparedness event, we would love to be part of it. Reach out to learn more about bringing Homvi to your community.
