1. Sponsor

2. Who can enter
You must be 18 or older and a legal resident of one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia when you enter. Employees of Homvi and their immediate families and households may not win. The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
3. Contest period
The contest begins on the date the entry form first opens at homvi.ai/halloween and ends on November 2, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time. Entries received after that are not eligible.
4. How to enter
Upload a photo of your Halloween decorations, indoor or outdoor, at homvi.ai/halloween, then enter the contest by giving your email address and agreeing to these rules. Scanning a photo does not require an email; entering the contest does.
You may enter more than one photo. Each photo is judged on its own, but each person can win only one prize. We may limit how many photos one person can upload in a day. Entries made by automated means, or under more than one email address to get around these rules, are not eligible.
5. How winners are picked
This is a contest of skill. Winners are chosen by a panel of Homvi team members, on merit. There is no public voting and no random drawing.
There are four categories: Spooky, Scary, Cute and Funny. Each eligible photo is judged on:
- creativity and originality,
- visual impact, and
- how well it fits the category.
When you upload, our AI gives your photo one of these four moods, which is shown with it in the gallery. The judges may consider any entry in any category, whatever mood it was given. Homvi may also give one Surprise Award to an entry of its choice, judged on the same criteria, with the same prize. (A hint: #Griswolds)Judging takes place after the contest closes, and the judges’ decisions are final.
The AI’s identification and estimated values are shown for fun and are not used in judging. They are estimates, not appraisals.
6. Prizes
One winner per category, plus the Surprise Award if given: up to five prizes in total. Each prize is one year of Homvi Complete, with an approximate retail value of US$49.99.
One prize per person. Prizes are not transferable, and there is no cash alternative. If a winner already pays for Homvi Complete, we will work with them to apply the year to their account. Winners are responsible for any taxes on their prize.
7. Winner notification
Winners will be announced on November 3, 2026 and notified by email at the address entered. A winner must reply within 7 days to claim the prize. If a winner does not reply, cannot be reached, or is not eligible, Homvi may pick another entry in that category using the same criteria.
8. Your photo and the rights you give us
By uploading a photo, you confirm that:
- you took the photo, or otherwise own it and have the right to share it,
- you have permission from every person who can be identified in it, and from a parent or guardian for anyone under 18, and
- it does not break any law or anyone else’s rights.
You keep ownership of your photo. You give Homvi a free, non-exclusive, worldwide permission to display, copy, crop and share it, with a short caption, on our website, social media accounts and other marketing, including after the contest ends. If you are a winner, we may announce your first name or the handle you choose along with your photo.
Before using a photo in advertising, we blur house numbers and license plates, and we do not use photos showing children’s faces. We may decline to display, or remove, any photo at our discretion, including photos showing a recognizable face, a house number, street sign or license plate, or a political or brand sign.
9. What we collect, publish and keep
- We collect:your photo, the AI’s results for it, the version of these rules you agreed to, and your email address if you enter the contest. We strip location (GPS) and other hidden data from your photo before we store or show it.
- We publish: your photo, a one-line caption and its mood, in the gallery at homvi.ai/halloween. We never publish the estimated values. Only the person who uploaded a photo sees them.
- Your email: used only to run the contest and contact winners. We will not send you marketing unless you tick the separate box saying you want it. If you do not tick it, we delete your email within 90 days after the winners are announced.
- Photos: photos shown in the gallery are kept so we can use them as described above. Photos we decline to show are deleted.

10. Removing your photo
You can ask us to remove your photo at any time. Email hello@homvi.aiwith the subject “Remove my Halloween photo” and the email you entered with, or a description of the photo. We will take it down within 7 days. A photo removed before judging is withdrawn from the contest.
11. General conditions
Homvi may disqualify any entry, or anyone, that breaks these rules or tampers with the contest. If fraud, technical failure or anything else beyond our control affects the contest, Homvi may change, suspend or end it, and will post any change on this page with a new version and date. Homvi is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, incomplete or not received because of technical problems.
These rules are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
